• WHAT DETERMINES SHIPPING COST?

  If you plan to move your personal belongings, please contact KIY AVIA CARGO for a consult. Our specialists will check necessary details about the cargo. Based on weight, type, volume, route, additional necessary services, you will get a shipping cost. 

  If you need packing assistance, our specialist can meet you in person, check all items that need to be packed (for instance paintings, antiques etc) and will also advise the cost of packaging.

• HOW DO YOU PACK AND LOAD MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS?

  We provide a complete and partial pack. We can pack a couple of cartons or the entire content of your house using our professional methods to provide the safe and organized transport of your possessions. After packing we will load boxes into the truck at the appointed time.

• WHAT IS THE PROCESS OF CUSTOMS CLEARANCE AT THE BORDER OF UKRAINE?

  Usually customs clearance process starts after loading and pick-up of your personal belongings by the employees of KIY AVIA CARGO. The customs clearance procedure is carried out in the departments of the internal customs at the port/ airport, or at the customs at the border, depending on which mode of transport will be used to transport personal belongings.

  For customs clearance shipper must prepare the following documents: a list of personal belongings, power of attorney (if shipper can’t visit the customs office), copies of your passports and tax ID number.

  The main goal of our brokerage team is to make customs clearance less complicated. We will help you to get a comprehensive approach to your shipment and block potential border barriers.

• WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE NEEDED FOR CUSTOMS CLEARANCE AND TRANSPORTATION OF PERSONAL BELONGINGS?

  Shipper must prepare the following documents for customs clearance:

  • Power of attorney or personal presence at customs;
  • Packing list of sent items;
  • Copy of the passport;
  • Copy of tax ID code.

• IS IT POSSIBLE TO SHIP ART, ANTIQUES OR VALUABLES ABROAD?

  Transportation of art, cultural property, antiques abroad can be organized with a special permit from the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, museums or other authorized institutions.

  KIY AVIA CARGO also carries out all the necessary procedures for the transportation of art objects, cultural property and antiques. Our expert logistics team can arrange safe transportation using shipping crates designed around your needs.

  If the value of your belongings exceeds 10 thousand EUR, the customs broker will issue a customs export declaration. If the estimated value is less than 10 thousand EUR, customs clearance will be carried out on the basis of the sender's application with an attached list of items.

  KIY AVIA CARGO also takes care of  all mandatory procedures: radiological, phytosanitary, quarantine control.

• WHAR ARE THE CUSTOMS CLEARANCE PROCEDURES FOR PERSONAL EFFECTS?

  KIY VAIA CARGO has a huge network of reliable international partners.  In the destinations country our partners will assist you in the transportation of your belongings. Customs clearance will be carried out at the customs office near your place of residence. It can be a customs terminal, an airport, a sea port, a customs warehouse.

  All mandatory customs duties and fees, stipulated by the laws of the country of destination, shall be paid either by you or by our partners. 

  HOW PERSONAL POSSESSION WILL BE DELIVERED TO THE DESTINATION?

  At the appointed time our partners will deliver your cargo to the place of unloading, bringing things into the house or apartment, unpacking things, assembling equipment and furniture if requested. The packaging materials will be removed. 

  When all services will be performed as agreed in agreement, the transportation will be considered completed.

   

• TRANSPORTATION OF PERSONAL BELONGINGS TO CIS COUNTRIES

  Our company carries out transportation of personal belongings to the CIS states. The main peculiarity with the import of personal belongings into the territory of these countries is that most of them have high import duties on personal belongings if consignee has no status for permanent residence, a refugee, registration or other specific documents provided for by this country.

  In the absence of documents that allow you to avoid customs duties and fees for the import of personal items, we recommend to refuse to ship personal belongings especially furniture and household appliances. You will save money and time to purchase the new one.
